Modane, Savoie

Located at 1500 m altitude, in a wooded area, possesses a lively resort Valfréjus harmonious architecture in a traditional style with wood and stone. The area is small in scope and thus very clear. The center, with its restaurants, cafes and shops is carfree and all facilities are all within walking distance, ideal for the whole family! Since winter 2009, there is a new wellness center with hammam, sauna and spa.

Moreover, this ski resort for the whole family is easy reachable: the international railway station is 10km from Modane (with the TGV you are 4 hours from Paris to Modane). The A43 motorway runs to Modane, from there it is 10 km to Valfréjus.

The Tabor Mountains, near the Italian border, with its highest peak at 3178m offers a beautiful panorama. From Punta Bagna, with its 2732m the highest point of the ski, you can even see the Mont Blanc massif and Ecrin behold. The slopes are mainly north slopes and the presence of snow cannons make the ski area rather snow quaranteed. Apart from the 65km of groomed slopes, there is at least as wide a range of off-piste, so that both beginners and advanced skiers and snowboarders find plenty to enjoy here.

Since December 2009, the new, ultramodern cabin lift brings you from the resort in a few minutes to the Plateau d'Arrondaz at 2200 m.. With a 6-day ski pass Valfrejus you can one day ski for free ing in the nearby ski resorts of La Norma or Aussois. Moreover, you can spend a day skiing in Val Thorens, situated in the 3 Valleys, the largest ski area in the world. For about € 20 supplement, take the elevator cab in Orelle, located 20 minutes by car from Valfréjus.

The ski lift is 100m. from La Vigie. This lift is not suitable for children who still need to learn skiing. Valfréjus has a ski resort with something for everyone. In Modane, at the foot of the mountain, you will find large supermarkets, a swimming pool and a wellness center. An hour's ride can be delightful shopping in Turin.

In the summer it is nice place. Valfréjus is located in a beautiful area with extensive walking and cycling possibilities.
